Special features: Jannel was a quiet yet ambitious, hardworking, and resilient individual. Beneath her gentle demeanor was a caring spirit; she was always willing to assist others and offer support whenever it was needed. With her captivating smile, she consistently shared words of encouragement with friends and family, whom she loved dearly. She was known as a friendly and soft-spoken person with an immense heart. Her presence brought a sense of love and happiness, and her smile shone brightly like a ray of sunshine.

Jannel was also a very social person, and as a result, her network of relationships grew widely over the years. Those of us who knew her on a more personal level understood that she was deeply altruistic. She loved sharing and helping those in need, and she did so willingly and without hesitation. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine love for others will surely be missed by all who truly knew her.

She pursued her education at St. Louis RC Girls' School, St. Joseph's Convent St. George's, and the T.A. Marryshow Community College. She furthered her studies at the University of Technology in Jamaica and at Florida International University, where she pursued Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Jannel also devoted part of her life to education. She taught at the Westmorland Junior School, Wesley College, St. George's Institute, and the T.A. Marryshow Community College. Through her work as an educator, she inspired many young minds and shared her knowledge with dedication and compassion.

In addition to teaching, Jannel was an entrepreneur. She established her own catering business and also operated a tuck shop at St. George's Institute. Her entrepreneurial spirit reflected her determination, creativity, and willingness to pursue her goals with courage.

She taught us never to be afraid to step out in faith and to take bold, sometimes unpopular, steps when necessary. She also demonstrated the importance of family and the value of unity, reminding us that family should always stand together in love and support.

On behalf of our family, we extend our profound appreciation to all who have supported us during this period of grief. Your prayers, kind words, and acts of compassion have brought us comfort and strength, and for this, we are deeply grateful.

Jannel was a person of faith. She believed in God and trusted Him through life's ups and downs. Whether times were good or challenging, Jannel held firmly to prayer. She found strength in scriptures and comfort in hymns.

The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The road was not always easy, but it was walked with perseverance and dignity. This indeed was Jannel.

Today, while our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. We trust that God, in His infinite wisdom, has called His servant home.

To the children, brothers, sisters, and other family members, know that you are not alone. Grief is the price we pay for love, and the depth of our sorrow reflects the depth of that love.

We deeply appreciate your kind expression of sympathy during our time of great sorrow. There are truly no words to adequately express our heartfelt thanks for the love and support you have extended to

our family during this difficult time. Special thanks to Kings County Hospital including the oncology Unit.

As we say farewell, let us not only mourn the loss but honor the legacy. Let us live the lessons Jannel taught us: To work hard. To love deeply. To forgive quickly. To trust God always. And to care for one and another. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Sleep on, dear Jannel. Take your rest. You have run your race. You have fought the good fight. And you have kept the faith.
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
