It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and friend, CECILIE SIDONIA OCTAVE affectionately known as; Ms. Octave, Ma Lubin and Sido whom passed away in Brooklyn , USA on Tuesday 5th October, 2021 at the age of 96 yrs.
Sido was born in Choiseul, moved to Bishop's Gap, Marchand and migrated to the USA where she spent the rest of her life. She worked as a Head cook at the Canadian Save the Children's Fund Day Nursery which is now, St Helen Day Care Early Childhood Development Center at George the V (fifth) Park, also known as the Gardens.
The going away servie and viewing for CECILIE SIDONIA OCTAVE affectionately known as Miss Octave, Ma Lubin and Sido will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the Caribbean Funeral Service, 1152 Nostrand Ave., Brooklyn N.Y. Viewing is from 5pm to 7pm followed by a service. After which the body will be cremated.
