Delcina Veronica Baptiste of Brooklyn New York died on July 6th, 2022 at the age of 88.
Delcina was born on January 24, 1934, in Mon Repos St. David’s to Gladys Licorish and Pilford Baptiste. She migrated to Trinidad in the late 1950’s where she lived for many years before eventual moving to the US.
She was a long-standing member of the Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 1234 East New York Ave in Brooklyn where she had been a Deaconess for many years. She loved helping people in any way she could. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her would have been blessed by her kindness, generosity and cracking sense of humor.
She is survived by her son and grandson Patrick and Brent Baptiste who live in Trinidad, brothers and sisters along with their spouses Cecil Braveboy who resides in Trinidad, Bernard Braveboy, Clare Braveboy (in Grenada), Millicent Alexander (Brooklyn NY), Miriam and Lizzy Baptiste an others who reside in Munich Grenada. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including the members of the Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The body of the late Delcina Baptiste will be interned in Grenada at a later date. |
